Candice okayed me to post some pictures of baby Jaydi, (I'm not sure of the spelling). She was born today, May 16th, 5 weeks early and weighed 6lbs. 4oz. She is doing great, however, because she came early, her lungs are not fully developed, so she will be going to the Anchorage Providence Hospital for further care. Brooks and Candice are both going to be with her.
Jaydi with mom and dad! This brought tears to my eyes. This is the first Candice had seen and touched her. You've got to be thankful for modern medicine and the power of a priesthood blessing.
Candice talked to her and put her finger on Jaydi's opened hand and Jaydi held on to it tightly. It was so tender and special to be there. I'm sure Candice will post updates on her blog, later, when they get Jaydi home. -note: for any of you who would like to call them, Brooks has his cell phone with them.

What a precious little package! I hope that things are ok with baby and mom. I didn't know she was having any problems but agree with you on the power of priesthood blessing. They will be in our prays. Love to all of you.
It is always hard not being able to bring a baby home. Our first boy spent a little over a week in the hospital and it was hard keeping my wife down. Tell your kids to hang in there. Things will get better. And congratulations grandma and grandpa.
