After the big to do with the HEART party and the g-girls, the g-boys were feeling they needed a "party" too. So, we did. A Great OUTDOORS Party.... without the outdoors! Of course, the anticipation is half the fun!!! Hummmm, what to do for a snack table?
This looks pretty inviting! We had Swedish fish,--- the back-up catch, gummi worms,---the bait shop, milk duds,---moose droppings, and pretzels,--- fishing polls, and dipped pretzels,--- termites on a log.

Personalized water bottles..... natures drink of choice.

The Fisherman's Survival Kit: This was a hit! Click on the picture to read the items in the bag.

This was a GREAT find. "Hooked on You," fish Valentine chocolates! Perfect!

The snack table. YUMMY!

We added some moose and bear cookies to top it off.
How cute are these cookies? Sugar cookie recipe with sour cream and whipped buttered frosting.
For supper we had baked salmon, 2 kinds, Silvers and Reds. We also had gold nuggets (corn,) spuds and ants on a limb, (celery , peanut butter with chocolate sprinkles.)
The boys also went fishing. They got stick pretzels, dipped them in bait and went fishing in the goldfish pond. Six fish on one stick was the record.
Munga and the 3 Torres g- boys!

Papa and the 3 Torres g-boys. If you have followed our family at all, there is one thing for sure and that is family or group pictures!

Then after we ate, we settled down and Papa told wild outdoor stories for an hour. The boys couldn't get enough. They love to hear him tell stories, which included snakes, bears, wolves and moose.

Then we played The Survival Game. It was Team A: Papa and
Keegan, against Team B:
Munga,
Kade and
Kolby. Team B was victorious! After the game we watched a movie, and off to bed.

Did I mention these fish were a hit, and a lot of chocolate!

Open wide!

This morning there was a moose outside our door. What great timing!!
Keegan wanted to shoot it and have moose for breakfast!

After breakfast, Papa helped the boys make all kinds of paper airplanes. This is always entertaining!

We also had the boys row the "canoe" for 2 minutes as fast as they could and see how many calories they could burn.

We put together some fun plates and delivered them to family.
We had to run a few errands, so off to THREE BEARS and SPORTSMAN'S WAREHOUSE!

Here the boys are with guns, traps and fishing poles.

This one cracks me up. They put "Davey Crockett" hats on, armed with guns and started shooting at the bear... above them. Boys will be boys!

This is just a fun display at Sportsman's.

And another. We had a great time with these boys. They are so different and each one so special and unique. This summer will have to have a real outdoor party.... with everyone!! Love ya boys, thanks for the memories.

You have got to be the most amazing Grandma ever. I think I was jipped as a small child. You have so much fun with your grandkids. Is the prep time stressful? Your almost like Martha stewart....minus the jail time :).
The boys LOVED this! Especially Dads stories. They would tell me a story and I would smile remembering when Dad told me as a kid. Good memories. Thanks for the time and effort you put into these parties. The kids will remember them for forever! Love ya!
Simply amazing! I don't know what else to say!
